Mussab Ali was 3 years old when his family immigrated from Lahore, Pakistan to Jersey City. His father has delivered your mail for 24 years. His mother spent three decades teaching in JC public schools. After 9/11, she was attacked for wearing a hijab. His father was laid off. They never stopped serving this community.
By 23, Mussab was Board President — eliminating student lunch debt, raising teacher salaries, and securing full school funding for the first time in a decade. That same year, he got Stage 4 cancer. He beat it. He went on to Harvard Law, launched the Ali Leadership Institute, and became one of New Jersey's top advocates for affordable housing and tenants' rights. He came home because the families who raised him deserve a fighter in Congress — not someone bought by special interests, not someone waiting in line.
